Dermaroller, the solution for treating;
- Scars
- Hyperpigmentation
- Striae
- Sagging skin
What makes the Dermaroller® so unique?
The Dermaroller® Therapy is a micro-surgical needling treatment. A procedure that encourages the skin to repair itself through cell division and the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. This results in smoother, younger, tighter, firmer and healthier skin. This therapy, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (C.I.T.), originated from various medical and scientific studies and can only be performed safely with certified medical equipment. Dermaroller® treatments use sterile disposable materials certified to ISO 13485.
Microneedling means: without significant pressure, fine microchannels and micro-wounds, without damaging the stratum corneum and thus initiating a natural healing process. Microneedling Therapy is a medical approach developed from various medical and scientific studies.
Dermaroller® was created after multiple studies and following specific physical rules of physics. Because of this, the original Dermaroller® is currently the only micro-needling system in Europe included in the ISO-13485 file for medical equipment with an initial CE approval (Note: for some fake rollers, CE stands for China Export).
The Results Achieved with Dermaroller
The Dermaroller® therapy improves skin texture in acne and atrophic scars, coarse pores, burns, aging and sun-damaged skin, wrinkles and lines in the face, and décolleté. In addition, the treatment is very suitable for stretch marks and scars on the body.
The medical Dermaroller® with nine rows contains 162 microscopically tiny surgical steel needles in different lengths. The showpiece is the 2.5 mm roller specially developed for treating burns and can and may only be used in a sterile environment, i.e. by doctors.
Blood vessels are punctured so that platelets are released, which releases growth factors that stimulate cell division and the production of new collagen and elastin. This is a natural repair response of the skin. An additional advantage is that the skin, through the created channels, is up to 200 times better able to absorb active ingredients and substances. At the same time, this means that you have to be very critical about what you use on your skin. Dermaroller® has a series of products that support the micro-needling process and were specially developed for this purpose. But, again, let your C.I.T. therapist advise you. After the treatment, the skin's texture will change and be at its peak after six to eight weeks.
Follow-up treatment with the Dermaroller® will occur after six weeks at the earliest. This gives the skin time to recover fully, so a follow-up treatment will also be more successful. The average advice is three treatments for the best results. In deeper scars and depending on the recovery capacity of the skin, possibly five to six treatments are needed, always with a wide interval.
