Skincare routine

Your skincare routine is as unique as you are.

It starts with the right basic routine and all the knowledge about your skin and cosmetics. Learn more about ingredients in your cosmetics or request a free skin consultation and get advice from our certified skin coaches.

Discover your skin type

You will find many cosmetic products in our webshop, but not all products are suitable for every skin type. Indeed, products are - sometimes - specially developed for specific skin types. When you use products that match your skin type, you have the best chance of achieving the desired result: maximum skin improvement.

Customized skin advice

The cosmetics world can be a bit overwhelming: various brands with many more products; but what is really suitable for my skin? Based on our comprehensive skin advice, issued by our certified skin coaches, you will know exactly how and with which products you can specifically address your skin problem or desire. This is how we work together towards your dream skin.

Ingredients ABC

We believe that knowledge is the foundation for making conscious choices. We want to help you understand what's in your favorite skin care products so you can better determine what is and isn't right for your skin. In our easy-to-understand 'ingredients ABC', we explain the cosmetic ingredients you will encounter in products in plain language.

Basic facial routine

We believe every skincare routine should include the four essential steps: cleanse, condition, moisturize and protect.

Step 1
Cleanser

Want to get the most out of your skin care? Then properly cleansing your face is the first and most important step. Both morning and evening, it is essential to cleanse your face with an appropriate cleanser.

By cleansing your face daily you remove dirt, sebum and dead skin cells and ensure that skincare you apply afterwards is better absorbed.

Double Cleanse

Double Cleanse is double cleansing your face with two different cleansers. By using two cleansers, one after the other, you give your skin an intensive cleansing for extra clean skin. Our advice: start your double cleanse with a non-acidic cleanser followed by an acidic cleanser.

Make-up cleaners

To rid your face of makeup at the end of the day, there are special makeup cleaners. With a makeup cleanser, you can remove your makeup from your face without any problems and even remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Start with a makeup cleanser followed by a facial cleanser.

Cleaning brushes

You use a cleansing brush to cleanse your face. Instead of using your hands to massage the cleanser in, you use the cleansing brush. A cleansing brush removes all traces of makeup, cleanses deeply, removes dead skin cells and provides a gentle exfoliating effect.

Step 2
Lotion

Applying a lotion is an important second step in your skin care routine because it neutralizes the pH level of your skin. Thus, active ingredients of skin care products that you apply afterwards are better absorbed. A lotion is therefore the optimal conclusion to your cleansing routine.

A facial lotion is a lotion used between cleansing the face and applying a day or night care product. This lotion removes the last remnants of dirt from the face and/or prepares the skin for the cream applied afterwards. A facial lotion also restores the skin's surface after cleansing. There are different types of facial lotions, such as tonics, sprays and emulsions.

Spray

Face sprays are a convenient way to care for and moisturize your skin. You spray them directly onto your face and let them soak in, without rinsing them off. This allows the active ingredients to do their best work. A lotion spray can also help your skin absorb other skin care products better, reducing the need to use cream. In addition, it helps your skin to repair itself.

Emulsion

An emulsion is a rich facial lotion. You apply it to the face, massage it in and remove it with a cotton ball. You can also apply the emulsion directly to a cotton ball to use it to rid the face of the last traces of dirt. These types of lotions are very gentle on the skin, (often) alcohol-free and soothe the skin. Because you do not need to rinse the emulsion with water, it remains on the skin which ensures a soft skin.

Tonic

Tonics are facial lotions that remove the last remnants of dirt and makeup from the face, while replenishing the face with necessary nutrients lost with cleansing. A good tonic smooths the skin, soothes the skin and leaves the skin looking radiant throughout the day. Tonics are perfect for people with oily, blemished and sensitive skin. This is because a tonic deeply cleanses and mattifies the skin.

Step 3
Serum

Serums are an essential part of good skin care because they contain a high concentration of active ingredients that can penetrate deep into the skin. That is why serums are particularly suitable for tackling skin problems in a targeted way, giving the skin a quick boost when needed and working on skin improvement.

Facial serums come in different varieties, each with its own unique benefits. There are serums that moisturize the skin, serums that protect the skin from harmful external influences and serums that help repair the skin.

Vitamin C serums

Vitamin C is an almost indispensable ingredient in your daily skin care routine because it helps address existing skin problems. It is a strong antioxidant that protects the skin from harmful influences. In addition, Vitamin C supports natural skin repair, allowing spots and wounds (from acne or blemishes, for example) to heal faster, helps reduce hyperpigmentation and brightens the skin. Vitamin C is therefore also perfect for dull skin or skin with an uneven complexion.

Retinol serums

Retinol is a retinoid - a form of Vitamin A - that, as an ingredient, helps reduce the signs of premature skin aging. It has the power to accelerate skin and cell renewal, fade wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation spots and provide firmer, smoother and more even skin. It can also help reduce acne and blemishes. Use a retinol serum in your daily skincare routine to reduce and fade fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation spots.

Hyaluronic acid serums

Looking for a moisturizing serum? Then discover the serums with hyaluronic acid. This is because this ingredient's main characteristic is its ability to retain moisture well so that the effect on the skin is visible almost immediately. The skin becomes smoother, small wrinkles fade away and the facial skin quickly looks younger and more vital.

Salicylic acid serums

Do you suffer from stubborn inflammation that won't go away? Salicylic acid may be just what you need in your skincare routine. Salicylic acid has the ability to penetrate deep into pores and dissolve the dead skin cells that clog pores. This helps reduce pimples and blemishes.

Glycolic acid serums

Did you know that glycolic acid is one of the most effective ingredients for radiant skin? Glycolic acid helps remove dead skin cells, reduce fine lines and even out skin texture. Glycolic acid is often used to combat scars, skin discoloration, and visible signs of skin aging.

Boost your skin

Boosters are similar to serums, but with an even higher concentration of one specific ingredient or ingredient group. Each booster is formulated with a unique blend of ingredients that support the skin in some way. Explore our range of boosters and find the perfect match for your skin type and needs.

Step 4
Cream

The last step in your skincare routine - both morning and evening - is to apply a nourishing, protective or restorative cream. The time of application (day or night) requires a specific cream. Learn more about proper day and night care and finish your skincare routine the right way.

Day cream

A day cream protects your face throughout the day from harmful external influences. Think cold wind, hot sun, UV rays or makeup. With a good day cream, which is completely tailored to your skin type and skin problem, you can finish your skincare routine in the morning.

Anti-aging day cream

Anti-aging creams unfortunately cannot prevent the skin from aging, but can help make the external features of skin aging less visible. Between the ages of 25 and 35, it is wise to start anti-aging and use products with hyaluronic acid and start with glyzolic acid or retinol (vitamin A). Hyaluronic acid is a real thirst quencher for the skin that prevents (the first) lines of dryness. Glycolic acid and retinol exfoliate and stimulate cell renewal, keeping the skin active and producing collagen and elastin.

Sun creams

The key to protecting your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays and pollution is to use a sunscreen with SPF. In fact, it has been proven that a day cream with SPF not only prevents future premature aging, but also improves existing wrinkles, pigmentation spots and the texture of your skin. A day cream with sun factor (SPF) is therefore indispensable in your daily skin care routine. Even when the sun is not shining or you are indoors, it is important to care for your face every morning with a sunscreen - with at least SPF30.

Night cream

Applying a night cream in the evening is the last step in your skincare routine. Because a product does not need to protect against UV rays during the night, it can fully focus on nourishment and repair. A night cream is therefore packed with high concentrations of active ingredients, allowing you to powerfully address specific skin problems during the night.

The perfect night cream

For night creams, the term "one product fits all" does not apply. The high concentration of nutrients allows you to target a skin problem in a very targeted way, so it is important to determine what you want to improve. Do you want to address wrinkles and fine lines, reduce acne, or even out skin and reduce redness? Whatever your desire or skin problem, you will find the perfect night cream in our webshop.

Overnight mask

Overnight masks are the latest trend in night care. These masks are specially designed to intensely hydrate and nourish the skin while you sleep. They contain a high concentration of active ingredients that penetrate deep into the skin to improve its condition. Are you also ready for radiant skin? Then try an overnight mask and experience it for yourself!

Complement your skincare routine

Do you suffer from dull skin, clogged pores or an uneven complexion? Exfoliating is the solution! With the right exfoliation method (exfoliant, scrub or peel) you can give your skin the boost it needs and let your skin shine again.

AHA Exfoliant

Water-soluble fruit acids are called AHAs. Exfoliants based on these AHA fruit acids are usually suitable for dry, normal and sensitive skin and for skin with (hyper)pigmentation. The most common AHAs are glycolic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

BHA Exfoliant

Exfoliants based on these BHA fruit acids are suitable for oily skin because they are oil (sebum) soluble. The most commonly used BHA is salicylic acid. An exfoliant with salicylic acid dissolves not only the sebum on the surface of the skin, but also the sebum deep in the pores. This makes the skin less likely to clog.

All about exfoliating

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate. Terms you often come across in skincare routines. Are these three words that mean the same thing or are there differences? In our blog: Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate. What are the differences? we take you through the world of exfoliation.

Facial mask

Treat yourself to a moment of pure relaxation with a facial mask. A mask not only relaxes but also improves your skin condition, addresses specific skin problems & supports your daily care.

Facial masks for different skin types

Choosing the right face mask is essential to give your skin the optimal care. Each skin type has unique needs, so it is important to select a mask that addresses your skin's specific concerns. Below is an overview of suitable masks for different skin types:

Mask for oily skin

Clay masks: absorb excess oil, refine pores and fight impurities. Look for masks with ingredients such as bentonite clay, kaolin or charcoal.

Gel masks: these offer hydration without clogging the skin. Choose formulas with aloe vera, green tea or cucumber to soothe and cool the skin.

Mask for dry skin

Hydrating masks: nourish and hydrate the skin intensively. Choose masks with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, ceramides or shea butter.

Cream masks: offer rich hydration and softening properties. Oatmeal, honey and yogurt are ingredients that nourish and restore dry skin.

Mask for aging skin

Anti-aging masks: stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin firmness. Anti-aging masks contain ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C or peptides.

Exfoliating masks: to stimulate cell renewal and remove dead skin cells use an exfoliating mask. This results in a smoother and more radiant complexion.

Mask for sensitive skin

Soothing masks: ingredients such as aloe vera, oatmeal, calendula or chamomile soothe and calm the skin, reducing or preventing redness, inflammation and irritation.

Hydrating masks: these restore moisture balance and strengthen the skin barrier. Often with ingredients such as panthenol and niacinamide.

Mask for combination skin

Combination skin involves dry and oily skin. Do you have combination skin? Then use a moisturizing mask on the dry areas of the skin and a clay mask on the oily areas.

Mask for normal skin

If you have normal skin, you can choose from (almost) all face masks. Tip: experiment with different masks to see what works best for your skin and gives you the ultimate glow.

Eye cream

Even if you sleep enough every night and drink enough water, you may suffer from dark circles and/or puffiness under your eyes. With the "shortest night" of the year approaching, it's time to tackle those dark circles & puffiness with an eye cream. This is because an eye cream helps brighten the sensitive skin around your eyes and evens out the skin. It also elevators your eye contour and intensively moisturizes and nourishes the skin around your eyes.

Our certified skin coaches will give you personal advice. So you know exactly which products and which routine you can use to tackle your skin problems in a result-oriented way. This is how we work together towards your dream skin.

How long does it take before I see results from my (new) skincare routine?

How quickly do you see results from your new skincare? A question we are often asked. On average, it takes about 4 to 8 weeks for your skin to renew itself and you can see the first results. Factors such as your skin type, age and consistent performance of your skincare routine determine how quickly you see improvement.

Should I patch test before using new skincare?

If you have sensitive skin, react to a certain ingredient or want to test if the skincare product is something for you before buying the full-size version, it is smart to do a patch test. That way you won't have any surprises and you won't risk throwing away your (new) skincare because your skin doesn't react well to it. You can read more about patch testing in our Patch Testing Guide.
